  Dear Senior Ancampora My parents and I have just returned yesterday evening from what has become our annual visit to the hotel. As always we had a wonderful two weeks in the hotel and in Sorrento. This was largely due to the very kind and amazing staff you have in the hotel. Nothing is too much trouble and everyone goes out of their way to assist your every need and requirement during our stay. Over the last few years my mother has been ill and has been in a wheelchair for over two years. It was only because of the kindness and help that we receive at the Vesuvio that allowed us to come on holiday when she was waiting for surgery. Now that the surgery is over and she is recovering she still requires additional help and assistance. This year once again the help and assistance we received was wonderful and I know of no other hotel that would provide this level of service for us. We always get a wonderful warm welcome every year we go and this year was no exception. Please pass on my sincere thanks and appreciation to your staff in reception, the bar staff, and restaurant staff who were very helpful to us during our stay, they are all great ambassadors for the hotel. I would also like to thank In particular Pino, the bus driver, who was very kind, patient and thoughtful towards my mother. He even provided a small box for her to stand on getting off the bus so that the step would not be so much for her. We will look forward as always to our next visit to the Vesuvio and Sorrento in September 2010. Kind Regards Carolina Harron

  This is the third year in a row my husband and i have stayed at the Vesuvio and once again we had a fantastic time. The hotel is ideally situated for us as we like to be a little away from the town centre and the hustle and bustle. The scenery and views are breathtaking and the gardens within the hotel are beautiful and very well maintained. Our room was ideal and our balcony was huge! All of the staff at the hotel are very helpful with excellent customer service especially front of house and restaurant staff. Nino and all of the guys in the restaurant provided us with more fabulous food and looked after us as usual. The staff here always go above and beyond to look after us when we stay, as we are normally there for our anniversary, they have organised some great and unexpected surprises for us over the years so much so that we wouldn't contemplate staying anywhere else and my hubby is already champing at the bit to get us booked up again for next year!   This is a delightful hotel. Service is excellent, the rooms are very clean although perhaps in need of a little refurbishment. My pillows were too hard but the chamber maid soon sorted that, she was a most obliging young lady. Although our balcony was small we had an exceptional view over the bay to Vesuvius. We stayed on a half-board basis and the food was excellent and plentiful. The restaurant was very efficiently run and Nino, our charming Head Waiter, took the time and trouble to help me with my Italian, even asking me to read the menu in Italian every night and giving me marks out of 10 for my pronunciation and comprehension! The swimming pool is superb and large enough to allow you to burn off all those extra calories, although, it is rather cold until you get used to it. Bar prices are very reasonable compared with the rest of Sorrento and again, we had excellent service from the friendly bar staff. All in all, this has been a wonderful holiday, from start to finish. It was our first visit to Sorrento and although we had looked at other hotels before finally choosing this one, we are so glad we did. We hope to return next year. In fact, I would return right now if I could. A week was just not long enough...and I need more Italian lessons!
